R I P Ken Nixon

We were all shocked at rehearsal on Wednesday to hear that Ken was in Intensive Care, then David Woodward came at tea break to say that sadly Ken had died at 7.40 that evening. Ken was a lovely person and a great asset to Beulah Brass. He will be sadly missed by everyone. His funeral will be held on Thursday (24th) at 11.00 in St Paul's Abergele and the band has been asked to play.
I'm sure everyone will want to be there to say goodbye to a true friend. God Bless you Ken

Our thoughts are with Mary and the family at this sad time.

Dewi Sant Concert

The band had a good concert on 26 October in the bandroom. This was for the Dewi Sant Centre. We were joined by the Impromptus, a Jazz trio comprising Michael's son Martin and two of his friends. They were very good indeed, and I think they have a great future ahead of them. It's only a pity that the centre hadn't sold more tickets.
